Welcome to the internet home of Antiquated Press. This site is a place to feature one of my favorite themes and one of my favorite things to draw about. The concept is old world, an era when mysteries and the unexplained were the norm. Before logic and science made sense of it all. A place where everything was hand made, forged from skill and time. I present to you a mixture of Serling and Fort. Where the discarded becomes the fantastic.

This conceptual vision is expanded to a small limited print line. Not for mass sales, but for my friends and cohorts.

Not the wine maker, or the war protestor. or the barroom pianist. Joe Carr the Pencil and Ink guy from way up north.


I was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana, and raised primarily in the great state of Alaska. Where I currently reside with my wonderful family.


Using pen and ink I try to tell stories, to mix and juxtapose themes and eras. My style and technique evolved from incessant doodling and a lifelong love of storytelling, comic books, mysteries of the unexplained and good illustration.


My other hobbies include: scottish highland athletics, subsistence fishwheeling, pinball machine restoration and scholastic volunteer work.
